Pediatric Emergency Nurse

Ms. Molina is a nurse practitioner in pediatric forensics at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and has been serving on the OC NAHN Board of Directors since August, 2018. Prior to advanced practice, Ms. Molina worked at the bedside in general pediatrics, pediatric critical care, and pediatric emergency. Ms. Molina immigrated from Medellín, Colombia at the age of eleven, and greatly identifies with the internal struggles of growing up in America. She believes that ethnic identities shift as children assimilate to their new environment, and a misidentification of these in the medical setting are directly related to adverse health outcomes and poor health literacy in adulthood. Ms. Molina is passionate about serving underrepresented communities and providing trauma-informed care to vulnerable families.

In addition to pediatric nursing, Ms. Molina is passionate about empowering more minorities into the nursing profession and mentoring them throughout their transition into professional roles. For this reason, she hopes to recruit more members into the OC NAHN family, and help support their individual journeys. In her spare time, she enjoys making soy candles, playing with her nephews, and spending time with her family and 11-year-old Shih Tzu.
