SUPPORT our Organization!

The Orange County Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses is an ALL-VOLUNTEER organization. The work we do in the community and the education provided to our members and supporters is done solely through a labor of love and a desire to improve the health and well-being of the Latino/ Hispanic community in Orange County, California. Mentoring individuals that are entering the nursing profession and educating our membership on how to be culturally sensitive to a diverse population are just a couple of the ways we do this.

Can YOU Help?

Want to SPONSOR OC NAHN? We are always looking for additional support for our organization. You can make a donation that is unrestricted, meaning it can be used for any of the items below, OR direct it towards one or two specific area(s). Please review the list below to see how you can help. We have also included the various ways in which you can move resources to our organization. See below for monetary donations that include tickets to our Annual En Familia event.

Support the OC NAHN Nursing Scholarship: Each year we award between two and five scholarships for students currently undertaking the rigor and (increasing) expense of a nursing program within Orange County. These scholarships range from $500-$1000 depending on our available funds. You can underwrite an entire scholarship for one student or donate towards the pot of scholarship funds.

Donate towards our Raffles/ Silent Auction: One of the ways we support our scholarship fund is through a raffle/silent auction which was started in 2017. (Click HERE for more details on 2017 Raffle) If you or someone you know has a contact with a potential donor, please get in touch with us. Some potential items for our auction/raffle include tickets to events in the LA/OC area, gift baskets, wine bottles, liquor bottles, framed art, massage gift card, adventurous activities like rock climbing/ kayaking, etc…

Our donation request letter is available HERE

Help off-set the cost of En Familia, our Annual Scholarship/ Holiday Celebration: Any amount here helps. The cost of hosting a memorable celebration for our scholarship recipients each year adds up. Catering, music, event space, decorations… think of the cost of a wedding. We’re not quite at wedding-status budget yet, but there is a significant cost associated with hosting our annual celebration. Donations can also include catering alcohol/ beer, appetizers, desserts, DJ services, equipment rental.

Support our Educational and Outreach Efforts: OC NAHN partners with various community organizations throughout OC to reach more individuals and further expose and train our membership, particularly our nursing student members. There are regular costs associated with tabling at events (registration fees, marketing & educational materials) and providing resources to the greater community on their health.
