Edith Lopez, BSN, RN became a nurse in November of 2020. Prior to beginning her career as a nurse, Edith served the mental health community as a mental health worker for four years. Edith continues to serve this community on a per-diem basis as a registered nurse. She also works on a medical surgical neurology floor at PIH Health hospital.

Edith was a teen mother and through her daughter’s journey with leukemia, she decided to give back by becoming a nurse. Edith Began this journey when her daughter had completed her treatment and was going to begin pre-school. Since then, Edith obtained her association of arts in general studies ADN program at citrus community college in August 2018. She concurrently applied into the Azusa Pacific University, RN to BSN bridge program, and graduated in May 2021. Edith is now currently enrolled into a Masters of Science program at Grand Canyon University.

During her time at Citrus College, Edith was invited to an OC NAHN meeting by her professor, Noemi Barajas and has been a member since.
