United Health Foundation New Scholar
Nicol is a first-generation college student and newly graduated registered nurse. Nicol became interested in nursing after working as a tutor in a homeless shelter, where she witnessed the health needs of families within the community. She is interested in public health and disease prevention, as well as the field of pediatrics. She hopes to become a nurse practitioner in the future and complete her doctoral studies. She enjoys hiking and traveling, which allows her to learn about other cultures. Nicol is an active member of OC NAHN and serves on the membership committee.
