Violeta's journey in nursing began in 2016 as a certified nurse assistant, marking the start of her nursing career. Her initial experiences in a Japanese nursing facility laid the foundation for her future endeavors. In 2018, Violeta was accepted into the ADN program at Citrus College and simultaneously pursued a Bridge ADN to BSN program at Azusa Pacific University the following year. During her ADN program, Violeta's passion for education was ignited when she began her role as a nurse extern in the education department at Emanate Health. This experience not only deepened her understanding of the field but also shaped her career aspirations. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Violeta competed her ADN in 2020, followed by her BSN and PHN in 2021. Violeta's career path led her to a Definitive Observation Unit at a community hospital, where she has spent the last three years providing care in a specialized setting. In 2022, she expanded her role by taking on the responsibilities of a nursing tutor and clinical instructor at Citrus College, further solidifying her commitment to education and mentorship in the nursing community. Violeta is currently enrolled in the MSN-Ed program at Grand Canyon University. Her introduction to OC NAHN through Dr. Barajas served as a pivotal moment, revealing a community whose values resonated deeply with her own. Inspired by the organization's mission, Violeta made the decision to join OC NAHN, eager to contribute to its noble cause.
